EA FC 25 - WEL Season Report (WEL #8)

12/09/2025

The S.E.A. Dragons entered Welsh Esports League #8 in EA FC 25 aiming for a solid, competitive showing, and the team delivered exactly that. With EyEzNoZe leading the charge, the S.E.A. Dragons put together an impressive run through the opening round and semi-final, earning a well-deserved place in the final.

While the last match didn't fall our way, this campaign showed real progress for our EA FC division and sets a clear foundation for future seasons.

Round 1 – vs GOATS (8–4)

The S.E.A. Dragons opened the night with a confident 8–4 win. A close start eventually gave way to stronger control in midfield and some sharp finishing in the final third. Once EyEzNoZe found rhythm, the game tilted firmly in our favour.

Semi-Final – vs Wolfhounds (13–2)

The semi-final was the standout performance of the run.
EyEzNoZe dictated the pace early, pressed well, and finished chances decisively. A dominant stretch of goals completely shut down the Wolfhounds' attempts to get back into the match, securing a comfortable 13–2 victory and a place in the final.

Final – vs Pit Ponies (0–2)

The final was a much tighter affair. The Pit Ponies slowed the tempo, reduced space in attacking areas, and forced a more controlled style of play. Small details decided the match, and despite pushing for a way back, the S.E.A. Dragons fell 0–2, finishing the tournament as WEL #8 runners-up.

A tough ending, but a strong overall performance.

Reflections

WEL #8 showed that the S.E.A. Dragons can compete at the top end of Welsh EA FC.
The attacking football in the semi-final especially highlighted what this team is capable of.

Head of Performance Dylan Carpenter:
"He played proper football all night. One tough final doesn't take away from how strong the run was."

Looking Ahead

With a place in the final secured and a second-place finish earned, the next step is clear: build on this momentum, patch the small areas exposed in the final, and aim to return even stronger next season.

Team Principal Patryk Białowąs:
"A really strong run from start to finish. We know exactly what the next level looks like now, and we'll be ready for it."
