The Origins of S.E.A. Dragons
S.E.A. Dragons was founded by Patryk Białowąs and Dylan Carpenter after seeing a clear gap in esports for structured performance analysis and long-term thinking.
With backgrounds in performance analysis and sports consultancy, they wanted to apply ideas shaped by traditional sport to a new competitive space, not just by advising teams, but by building a club themselves.
What started in Brecon as an ambitious idea has grown into one of Wales' leading esports organisations.
OUR STORY
S.E.A. Dragons was built in Brecon for a reason.
While Patryk Białowąs was born in Ostróda, Poland, Brecon is where he grew up. He went to school there, played for local teams, and represented young people in the town as Brecon Town Council's Youth Representative.
Later, while working within Welsh esports, he noticed something that did not sit right: Powys had no real presence in the Welsh Esports League, despite the amount of untapped talent across the area.
S.E.A. Dragons came from that gap. The aim was simple, build something ambitious in a place that often gets overlooked, and prove that high-level esports does not have to come from the usual places.

What They Brought With Them
Patryk and Dylan brought more than just experience, they brought a complete high-performance philosophy, adapted from traditional sport into esports:

Patryk is a data-driven performance specialist and former professional esports athlete. He is the founder of Scout Edge Analytics Ltd, a consultancy delivering elite-level video and data analysis across football, rugby, futsal, and esports.
With an academic background in Sport Performance Analysis at Cardiff Metropolitan University, one of the world's leading institutions for applied sports science, Patryk has led analysis departments and supported clubs across Europe. He also served as Football Games Team Manager for Esports Wales, where he identified the need for greater opportunities in rural areas, particularly his hometown of Brecon.
That vision became the foundation of S.E.A. Dragons, Wales' first fully data-driven esports team, created to bring structure, innovation, and high-performance culture to the competitive gaming space.

Dylan is a high-performance analyst with hands-on experience in elite rugby and football environments. His academic foundation in Sport Performance Analysis at Cardiff Metropolitan University helped shape his expertise in tactical breakdowns, coding, and athlete monitoring.
He gained professional exposure as a Performance Analyst with Cardiff Rugby's first team, where he contributed to player development and match preparation at the highest level. Dylan has also served as a Lead Analytics Consultant at Scout Edge Analytics Ltd, delivering performance consultancy across multiple sports.
At S.E.A. Dragons, Dylan applies the same elite-level standards to esports, building a performance culture grounded in structure, accountability, and analytical precision.
