S.E.A. Dragons Rocket League Announce RLCS Open 2 2026 Roster

08/01/2026

Following the conclusion of WEL9 and the releases of Snowzzee + Yug (from main roster), a gap within the S.E.A. Dragons Rocket League roster, meaning a new signing was needed to allow us to participate within the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS.)

As such,  following a long, thought-out recruitment process and ahead of going into the New Year of 2026, on December 31st 2025, S.E.A. Dragons announced the signing of "Sellars" - a statement signing for the club and a statement to our competitors + future ambitions as a club to achieve such a signature.

Given his competitive history, experience within team environments, commitment and effort levels no matter his circumstances and connection + friendship with our Rocket League Team Manager & Head Coach Connor "Faizye" Chittock, it suggests to be the perfect recruitment to match the individual goals from players + staff at the club, as well as the club / Rocket League Rosters' collective ambitions.

Just under a week after announcing the signing of "Sellars," on January 6th S.E.A. Dragons announced the contract extension of "Tadpole," further cementing and representing the ambitions for 2026 after he expressed his desire to return in an improved-regard to Rocket League for a long-term project whilst representing the club.

Also on the same day, S.E.A. Dragons would also announce the contract extension of "Dash" following his WEL9 debut with S.E.A. Dragons.

Coinciding and in collaboration with S.E.A. Dragon's Rocket League Team Manager + Head Coach, Connor "Faizye" Chittock pre-existing contract extension  that was signed in September 2025, S.E.A. Dragons would then confirm it's "Rocket League Championship Series" (RLCS) Roster for Open 2 of the 2026 season, being the first organisation from Wales to compete within the RLCS in history, the first "Esports Wales, Full Member Club" to compete within RLCS as well as the first organisation to have competed within both the Welsh Esports Leagues and RLCS.

- Tadpole (Captain)

- Sellars

- Dash

As well as the players and head coach / team manager, S.E.A. Dragons would also have their "Team Stream" application approved and verified by BLAST and Epic Games, the tournament organisers. As such, yet another announcement was posted on January 8th as S.E.A. Dragons would also announce the recruitment & signing of "PrilDeterjan" as the Rocket League team shoutcaster.
"PrilDeterjan" (also known as Yigit Sensoy, or "Pril") is a familiar name and sight to Rocket League Team Manager and Head Coach Faizye and new signing Sellars, as the trio attended college together, where Pril shined with his shoutcasting skills over various titles across the college, most memorably the York Vikings Northern Regional Bracket Final win against GCS Owls in the British Esports Student Championships, Nationals.

"PrilDeterjan" was also our shoutcaster during the Welsh Esports League Season 9 Rocket League journey, where he started out by shoutcasting and observing our S.E.A. Dragons Academy (named as "The Artists" within WEL9) group-stage fixtures at the start of the tournament where he impressed, which earned him a move-up in the ranks to shoutcast and observe our main-roster fixtures in the knockout-stages of the tournament.

Speaking to S.E.A. Dragons' Senior Management ahead of writing, Yigit had this to say:

"Learning the ins and outs of this prestigious competition (RLCS) was definitely a challenge at first, but now that I can see the bigger picture, it is a joy to watch and to experience, especially seeing so many underdogs having potential against the bigger fish in the sea (no pun intended). A competition this fierce and grounded makes it all the better to experience both as a viewer and a competitor." - he noted in regards to learning about the RLCS structure, format and history ahead of the Open 2 tournament.
"The addition of Sellars to the roster is one that I've been very excited for, to see how it would play out. Knowing him personally for 3 years now, I know he'll fit right in. Tadpole is also an amazing signing (to extend upon his previous deal) by us, utilising his experience is going to be amazing to see. With Dash completing the whole roster as an up and coming defensive player, it was coming more apparent day by day that this team was here to define success." - he noted in response to how he thought about the players within the roster for S.E.A. Dragons in this coming Open 2.

Yigit will be streaming our RLCS journey on his personal Twitch channel, which can be found at twitch.tv/prildeterjan.

Watch this space though! As later in the month we'll sit down with Yigit for a personal interview to allow people to get him to know him a little bit better, as well as his career so far within esports and shoutcasting!

We also spoke to S.E.A. Dragons Rocket League Team Manager & Head Coach, Connor "Faizye" Chittock ahead of RLCS to gather his thoughts, emotion within the team and expectations going forward.

"Firstly, it's an absolute honour to be in the position to be competing within the RLCS (Rocket League Championship Series) for the first time in my career, and to be doing so with a team I have built from scratch really elevates that proud feeling. As well as that, I'm personally honoured on behalf of the entire roster that we are the first esports organisation to officially compete within RLCS that is based in Wales, marking a landmark move forward for the club, but also the Welsh Esports League, where we hope to take our relative success forward onto the biggest stage there is in Rocket League esports."
"As for our updated roster, it doesn't need an introduction, everyone knows Tadpole, I've had so many messages and reactions in scrims already from teams in disbelief at Tad's skill and ability, even in the modern mechanical era of Rocket League, having that sort of player on your team, especially with his leadership + experience is a top trait to have and I think it's going to be a vital asset to us if we are to push and achieve our goals for this RLCS Open 2 as a team. Dash also returns from WEL9, improved and better than ever, he's been committed to the project since the first day of renewals following WEL9's ending, to have someone that motivated and committed on a team is great too, it's truly admirable, it's harder to get Dash off the game for a break than it is to get him on for a scrim!"
"New signing Sellars, where do I start? Everyone knows the history between me and him, I'm shocked people genuinely thought that me moving away from York would be the end of us working together. A vital asset and invaluable player to have on the team, that he has proven time and time again, not only alongside myself at York Vikings but also Team Endpoint in the past. I know I can bring out the best in Sellars, our history and connection speaks for itself and I'm ready to take this next step with him! I'd also like to offer him the warmest and best welcome to the club, we're delighted to have secured his signature for the 2026 season."
"There's a strong, positive feeling in our camp for the most part, we've been performing really well in some scrims too, even when the scoreline doesn't favour us, we find the positives and know what to keep doing more consistently, and analyse the negatives to understand where we need to improve for future, especially ahead of a tournament like RLCS."
"There are strong expectations for this RLCS, going into it with the roster that we are, we're bound to expect high of ourselves, but also understand that we're a team that hasn't been formed the longest, especially with the festive period + Sellars' PC breaking in the middle of our scheduled scrims, affecting a couple of weeks worth of practice, but we are still extremely confident going into Friday's Day 1 event! We're looking to reach Saturday's Day 2 'upper bracket' - which would easily secure Sellars' + Dash's best ever RLCS placements, but we'd also love to make a push to go even further and dream of the swiss stage!"

"Moving away from the RLCS circle for a second, I'd also like to formally welcome PrilDeterjan to the club and wish him a warm welcome! We look forward, as always, to his shoutcasting during the event and our journey within it! Delighted to also have him onboard for the 2026 content, he'll play a major part in elevating the content produced here at the club!

Ahead of the tournament starting, we are seeded as 315 and will start in pool A6 at 5pm GMT Friday 9th January 2026 (6pm CET) -  a reminder that ALL our RLCS fixtures can and will be streamed live by our shoutcaster, Yigit ("PrilDeterjan") - the link to which can be found at twitch.tv/prildeterjan, as seen below:

We hope to see you in chat, supporting Brecon's finest! Up the Dragons!
